April 6th West Tisbury Library PANEL Discussion with Q&A
7pm
EVENT DESCRIPTION: We have lots of local authors on Martha's Vineyard and many of them are trying to figure out if they should try to bet published. And if yes, how do they start? This forum is about the 'road traveled' as told by those who are published -- two authors published via the more traditional (and sought after) publisher route will speak (Best selling author Susan Wilson and first time published author Janet Messineo) and a third (Alice Early) who has traveled the self-publishing route. (Besides the success stories via self-publishing there are other reasons to do it that way. e.g. there are a lot of people who should put their stories down on paper for whomever the audience may end up being. Scores of Vineyard-centric books, judged successful by local standards, have been written this way. )
